Greenwich man arraigned on kidnapping, sex crime charges

GREENWICH, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Greenwich man was arraigned on several indicted charges, including four counts of predatory sexual assault and second-degree kidnapping, according to the Washington County District Attorney's Office. John Ingraham, 44, was arrested following a missing child investigation in January. Get the latest, news, weather, sports and community events delivered right to your inbox! On January 6, around 8:52 a.m., troopers responded to a Greenwich home for a report of a missing child. Police ran an investigation and said they found Ingraham had taken the child, under the age of 16, without permission or consent of the guardian. Police say Ingraham allegedly intended to take the child out of New York.Three hours later, police found the child in the custody of Ingraham at the I-90 NYS Thruway Warners Service Area in Warners, New York. More than 30 children were reunited this weekend with their families in Ukraine after a lengthy operation to bring them home from Russia or Russian-occupied Crimea. They had been taken from areas occupied during the war by Russian forces.After a complicated rescue mission that involved travel across four countries, mothers hugged their children as they crossed the border to Ukraine from Belarus.Dasha Rakk, a thirteen-year-old girl, stated that she and her twin sister had made arrangements to leave Kherson, Russia, last year due to the war, and travel to a camp in Crimea for a few days. By Carma Hassan | CNNResults are out from a two-year experiment testing the effects of guaranteed income on residents of Stockton, California — but the findings were complicated by the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, researchers say.The program, dubbed the Stockton Economic Empowerment Demonstration or SEED, gave monthly payments of $500 to 131 people starting in February 2019.
